FIBRE OPTIC CABLE ASSEMBLIES
On site cable installation times can be significantly reduced by using pre-terminated cable assemblies. The assemblies consist of universal internal / external, loose tube / tight buffered or steel tape armoured cable pre-terminated with up to 48 connectors at each end. Any style or combination of the following connectors can be terminated on the fibres; E2000,FC/APC, LC, SC, SMA or ST. Fibre types can be 9/125um, 50/125um, OM3 or 62.5/125um. A pulling eye at each end of the assembly protects the terminations when pulling the cable through ducts. When the cable has been installed the pulling eyes are cut off and the terminated fibres are fed into a patch panel. The assemblies are typically supplied on a cable drum with a full test certification.
